What is PRP?

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy, also known as The Vampire Facelift®, harnesses the body’s own healing powers to stimulate new tissue growth, giving your skin a healthy, more youthful appearance. PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) is made from a small sample of your own blood, spun to concentrate the platelets. These platelets release growth factors that signal natural repair and collagen production. The PRP is injected or used with microneedling on skin or scalp to support smoother skin and healthier hair. Downtime is usually minimal, and results vary between individuals over a series of sessions

The leading Arthrex© ACP® Double Syringe System is used to facilitate the safe and rapid preparation of autologous platelet-rich plasma (PRP) from a small sample of blood at the patient’s point of care whilst ensuring complete protection from air exposure and lowers the risk of infection from contamination. This unique system allows higher concentration of platelets and growth factors therefore a more effective treatment overall.

How does it work?

PRP, or platelet rich plasma, is a treatment that uses a small sample of your own blood. The sample is placed in a centrifuge to separate and concentrate the platelets. These platelets carry growth factors that signal repair, boost collagen production, and support healthy tissue and scalp function.

Here is how it works in clinic: a quick blood draw is taken, the tube is spun to create the platelet rich layer, and the PRP is then applied to the target area by precise injections or combined with microneedling so it can reach deep through tiny microchannels. Because it is your own plasma, the risk of allergy is very low.

Most people experience mild redness or swelling for 24 to 48 hours and minimal downtime. Results build gradually over a series of sessions, commonly three appointments spaced a few weeks apart, leading to smoother, firmer skin and stronger looking hair.
